2025-2026 Ottawa Sting Registration Fees

2025-09-15

Ottawa Sting Registration portal is now open. Payment due by September 27, 2025 (installment option available).

Ottawa Sting Registration portal is now open.

With most of the teams now finalized and being on the verge of the start of the competitive season, the portal is now open for 2025-2026 OMSHA registration fees. Like other years, you will be responsible to pay two fees: (1) the OSMHA Registration/Association Fee and (2) your Team Fees.

Registration/Association Fee
The Registration Fee is paid to OSMHA. It is used to pay for ice, insurance, league and association fees, player and coach development, team photos, and other administrative benefits provided by OSMHA.

Over the last several seasons, OSMHA membership has expressed a strong desire for increased ice allocation from Sting. As a result, beyond the ice purchased by us from the City of Ottawa through District B, we have again purchased additional ice, including at Ottawa U, TD Place, and Carleton University, at considerable cost.

Due to actual and anticipated cost increases, the Registration/Association fee for 2025-2026 will be $1,950 per player (up approximately 3% last year).

Members will have the option to pay the registration in one lump sum-payment or in two instalments:
  • Lump sum payments of $1,950 will be due on September 27, 2025.
  • If paying in instalments, the first payment of $1,000 is due by September 27, 2025; and the second payment of $950 is due by October 18, 2025.

To pay your fees, please visit the Sting homepage and click on 2025-26 Season Registration Fees on the left-hand side of the page. This will take you to the registration system where you will log in and pay the fees.

Please note that registration fees must be paid before the deadlines set out, unless you have made prior arrangements with the OSMHA Treasurer, or the player will be unable to participate in any Sting activities, including practices and games.

Team Fee
The Team Fee is paid directly to your team manager or treasurer. It is used to pay for extra expenses not paid for by OSMHA from the registration fee (tournaments, extra ice, team-building events, additional player development, etc.). Team fees will vary from team to team. Your team manager or team treasurer will advise you how much you should pay for your team fees, and will likely already have done so.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please ask your team manager.  If they are unable to answer your questions, please feel free to contact a member of the Executive.
