The Hockey Canada Foundation has launched an “Assist Fund” of $1 million to provide registration fee subsidies for qualified Canadians who are registered with Hockey Canada sanctioned associations for the 2020-21 season.

The Hockey Canada Foundation has launched an “Assist Fund” of $1 million to provide registration fee subsidies for qualified Canadians who are registered with Hockey Canada sanctioned associations for the 2020-21 season. 
 
This fund allows Canadians who meet the criteria and need a financial hockey assist to apply for up to $500 in registration fee reimbursements per player, provided the registration is with a HC/HEO sanctioned association.
 
Who qualifies for Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund?
  • Open to those who currently receive the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) and/or Canadian Child Benefit (CCB).
How much funding will applicants receive? Who receives the funding and when?
  • Each approved applicant will receive up to $500 per player in funding for registration fees with a sanctioned Hockey Canada association. The approved funding will be sent to the Hockey Canada sanctioned local hockey association and approvals and fund distribution should range from two to four weeks depending on volume of requests.
