Important: Non-Sanctioned Programs and Return to Hockey Guidelines

2020-09-30

Please review the updated Return to Hockey and Covid-19 Emergency Response Plan documents and the Non-Sanctioned Hockey reminder.

**Important Information - Please Read**

As 2020 has been a different hockey year so far, with modified programs and teams, we felt it was important to send a reminder on Non-Sanctioned Programs guidelines.

As per Hockey Canada, players may play in a Non-Sanctioned League up until September 30th of any given year. After September 30th players must then decide to stay with a Non-Sanctioned Program or a Hockey Canada Sanctioned Program. If a player continues with the Non-Sanctioned Team/League they would then be required to apply for reinstatement to a Hockey Canada Sanctioned Program.

This means that as of tomorrow, your Players should not be participating in a Non-Sanctioned team AND a Sting bubble.

That said, as per HEO, they can continue to take part in individual Private Skill Instruction.

For further details on current guidelines, please review the attached Covid-19 Emergency Response Plan and the Return to Hockey documents (written in accordance with HEO and Ottawa Public Health guidelines).  *These documents are fluid and will be updated as HEO and OPH guidelines change*.
