Mouth guard equipment violation MEMO
District B council has determined the following
with reference to mouth guard violations
PRACTICES: any players who are not wearing a mouth
guard during practices will be asked to leave
the ice.
GAMES: any player not wearing a mouth guard will
be asked to leave the ice
If the player returns to the ice without
a mouth guard a 2 min. penalty will be assessed
Should the player return to the ice for a
3rd time without a mouth guard it will result
in a 2 min. equipment violation penalty and
game misconduct
In the event there are not enough players
to start the game who are properly equipped,
the game will be forfeited.
It is the responsibility of the team trainer
and ultimately the coach to ensure that the
mouth guards are being worn before a player
takes to the ice.
